Big Sur Engagement Session
I’m always completely stunned by the beauty of California, but Big Sur is something otherworldly. I’ve been to Big Sur one other time, but didn’t have the opportunity to shoot on the cliffs, and for what it’s known for (although I always love a good redwood moment). This Big Sur Engagement Session changed that. We picked a short trail that would be easy to do in heels and just went for it. This session made me feel alive again.
Not only was the location beautiful, but after finally getting to meet Emma and Nilay, I feel like I’ve known Emma my entire life. If you ever meet someone and just know they are your people, then this is exactly what happened. Emma first found me on tiktok and I am so thankful for that source of inquiries. Who knows if we would have met otherwise. It feels very serendipitous to me.
They also brought along little Felix to be included in some of the photos (for the part of the trail he was allowed on). He’s honestly the real star of the show and is famous in his own right (@felixunleashed on tiktok). So truly, the day was magical besides waking up with a headache. Drinking coffee and taking ibuprofen on an empty stomach and throwing up on the side of the PCH very close to where some cows could judge me.
