Facetime Sessions by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter

A couple of weeks ago I had my very own facetime session shot by my friend Tim Dunk, a photographer in the UK. He was the first person that I knew of that was offering facetime sessions as a way to cope with losing business due to the pandemic. It’s been a really hard time for most photographers and people in the wedding industry and being able to photograph people, even if it’s via facetime, has been such a breath of fresh air.

It feels good to be “working” again even if I am still in my pajamas on the couch. The process of being creative again and giving people some sort of little something, while still being 100% safe (please don’t do porch sessions), is honestly what I’m living for right now. It’s not a huge help financially, but it is a huge help emotionally, and that’s what I’m here for.

If you’re interested in your own facetime session with me the process is fairly simple. We’ll pick a time and then I’ll give you a call via facetime. It’s best if you use an iphone. Imacs, Macbooks, and Ipads cameras just aren’t as great as an iphone. I’ll have you walk me around your house once I call to check out the light and to see where exactly we can position your phone and then we’ll start. It’s almost like a normal session direction wise – you just have to do the positioning with your phone.

The sessions cost $50 and last for around 20-30 minutes. I’ve been delivering around 20 photos from each session. You just have to keep in mind that these are in no way high quality jpegs. You may only be able to print them up to a 4×6 if you try or use them on social media. Either way, if this is something you’re interested in please reach out!

Here are some of my favorite photos from each session:
