Joshua Tree Engagement Session by Los Angeles Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter

This was my first time in Joshua Tree and I can finally see the appeal of it. I’m a huge fan of the desert but never really understood why people flock to this park constantly, or why it’s such a big deal in the photo community. WELL I GET IT NOW. Seth and Kaiti let me shoot this session with them, and it was so so beautiful. ┬áThe light at sunset was the most perfect type of light ever, and I don’t think I’ll ever get over how much better it is on the West Coast. I’m already dying to go back to shoot a bit longer.

It was so much fun getting to see how Seth and Kaiti work together as well. I also love how they pose and I honestly learned a lot about bringing more intimacy into my images from them. It’s so nice being able to take a step back sometimes and just watch people for a moment, and I highly suggest that if you’re a photographer you ask a friend if you can accompany them on a shoot. You never know what you could learn from them.

Also, it was great getting to spend an entire week with Seth. He’s a sweet baby angel and I don’t know where I would be in life without him. He’s also really fun to annoy by saying Jershua Tree over and over again so if you know him you should definitely do that.
