Louisville Park Engagement Session by Louisville Wedding Photographer Brandi Potter
If you follow me on social media then you undoubtedly know about my dogs and especially Jupiter. Last year when I was in the middle of buying the RV and preparing to move away from Louisville to hit the road I knew I wanted to get a bigger dog that would be more intimidating. Plus big dogs are easier to hike with. As I was waiting in the airport to fly from Seattle to Arkansas to pick up the RV I found Jupiter and was connected with Sara. Towards the end of the 700 mile drive home with the RV I stopped to pick up this tiny little fluff – and thus started talking more and more with Sara.
I can’t remember if Sara and Jason were already engaged last November or if they got engaged shortly after, but picking up Jupi connected me with them and now I’m photographing their wedding in a few short weeks. We had to reschedule their engagement session a few times due to the coronavirus and the weather but in August we were finally able to meet up in Louisville for it.
I’m not going to lie when I say it was miserably hot at their session, and I for one, am grateful that I didn’t have to be cute in order to take their photos. BUT the light was absolutely amazing and I got to run around one of my favorite parks while watching Sara and Jason laugh and play with one another. The heat (and chiggers on their part) were definitely worth it.
