New Orleans Athletic Club Wedding
It’s taken me a year to blog this wedding. With it I feel like it’s the last bit of “normal” I have to hang on too. This was my last “pre-covid” wedding and by pre-covid I don’t mean it wasn’t around. It just hadn’t seemed to have boomed in New Orleans at the time. The day I flew home New Orleans had it’s first confirmed case, and so I was most likely there on the last weekend of normalcy. That’s not to say it wasn’t slightly unnerving to weave through the bodies on Bourbon Street, but it hadn’t quite hit how bad covid actually was yet.
The wedding was wonderful and beautiful. I love this family so much and anytime I get to work with them I’m reminded why I love my job so much. The love surrounding them is so evident, even as I was looking through the gallery last night to pick the images for the blog post, I was struck by HOW MUCH love there really is.
I’m glad that I had this wedding as my last before the pandemic struck. It reminds me that we have a goal to get back to. We hav something to strive for and that we have something worth following precautions for. So many people have had their wedding plans completely ripped out from under them. If we can continue to do the things that we have been doing, hopefully those people can have their dream wedding as well soon.
