Wedding at the Apiary
There are a lot of things I can say about this beautiful wedding at the Apiary. I could talk about how the venue is one of the most beautiful in Kentucky, and how it’s perfectly tucked away in Lexington. I could talk about the beautiful details that were perfectly put together. I could talk about how this family has always opened their arms (and home) to me over the years. Or I could talk about how absolutely wonderful DD and Shawn are.
I try to connect with all of my clients on a deeper level. Sometimes that’s not possible, but for the most part the connection is there. DD and Shawn are on an entire level of their own. Their wedding took place in 2017 and since then I have felt nothing but love and friendship from them. They continue to be a light in my life and I will be so happy once we’re able to hang out again.
Their wedding was a beautiful homage to their life together that also had plenty of New Orleans vibes thrown in. It really is a lively party when you’re originally from New Orleans and half your guests are from there. Granted they weren’t able to have their second line down mainstreet in Lexington, but they did do a few turns through the hall of the venue.
All in all it was such a lovely event that I flew to New Orleans last year (pre covid) to do it all over again for DD’s sister.
